Anything that touches

This series was showcased at City & Guilds of London Art School in Autumn of 2026 as part of the the MA Fine Art exhibition. Each painting in this series is grounded by the portrayal of a specific plant, but directs us towards a space that feels remembered rather than seen. Small in scale, the works mirror the delicate power of the subjects they depict. The flowers act as visual anchors, guiding the viewer into the undefined layers of color and brushwork that surround them. Through the process of painting, wiping away, and describing, the picture gets filtered through memories—building worlds that feel deeply true, but always existing out of reach. The presence of light encompassing the flower becomes just as, if not more, important than the flower itself.

We are left questioning what is held in that undefined space? It is in answering this question that dreams are given room to surface—opening into something beyond what is known.
